5.0 out of 5 stars Wish I'd had this ten years ago 15 Jun 2012
Format:Paperback
The book gives a logical and well reasoned progression through what you need to convey in your CV with tone, formatting and wording. It's not a difficult read and it really helps to have an experienced professional talk through the reason for the different elements of a CV. It is a really clear guide to the sorts of information that employers want, and how to get it across efficiently and clearly to an HR manager with a stack of hundreds of other CVs to read...

There is also a pdf available to download from the publisher's site with some sample CVs[...]. It's a bit disappointing that they couldn't have made it available in an editable format to allow users to make use of their formatting, but this is a minor niggle on what is otherwise a really useful book

Having read this book, I was astonished at how much I could find to upgrade and edit in my CV, as I'd thought that it was pretty strong already. It's a bit embarrassing to think of all the jobs I might have been doing if I'd only presented the information differently.

Thoroughly recommended.
