Great place to start 15 Jan 2006
By James E. Shireman - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
We are looking to fly to San Francisco and take the highway north for a scenic vacation. I needed a book that would give me some good starter information to do more research. This book fit the bill and did a very good job of giving descriptions of where to go but, also included maps to give me a visual of what the trip would look like.

I would recommend this series of books for getting your driving trip started. It does not go into a great amount of detail but does give you enough information about where to start and the sights along the way.
blue colored type is hard to read 9 May 2012
By bookloverFLA - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
As stated I find some of the type hard to read that is light blue-colored in a small size. I also like to make copies of pages and put them in a 3 ring binder for specific trips and leave the whole book at home. Not a good idea to Xerox blue ink.

I love the book concept, great drives, since we do a lot of van travel for vacation. It's just not typeset in a way I like.
So I'm not buying the book after looking it over, won't be able to use it the way I want to and damage my eyes trying to read it.
I gave 3 stars but 2.5 is what I really think.
