Format:Audio CD
I saw gravity kills live some time ago, fantastic show. The keyboardist had his, erm, keyboard mounted on a big swivel-and-tilt stand so he could bang it about as he leapt around and played with some kind of superhuman co-ordination. This image remains with me and epitomises the band and their music; Brooding vocals peppered with ferocious outbursts of energy which never looses direction. Everyone I know who has ever had a copy of this album has at some point gone out and bought the original, that's the kind of effect it has on you. It's just a shame that the second album is so hard to get uver here in the UK.

A Hard, Industrial Album that belongs in Every Collection

It is a wonder to me that Gravity Kills does not have a larger following than it already does. I was sad to see such a small crowd at one of their shows about 5 years ago when this album had recently come out.
For those who have not had a taste of this great music and need something to get the adreneline running, the self-titled album is the perfect place to start.
'Guilty' and 'Blame' are the crowd favorites for their high air-time on radios and on movie soundtracks, but every track on this CD is a work of art. The rough industrial sounds give them a sound of their own and anybody who enjoys rock or industrial music should delve into the music of Gravity Kills.

This album is the epitome of industrial rock exploited to its fullest potential. Not only is every song just as good as the next, it keeps you wanting even more. Songs that Gravity Kills should certainly claim to fame include "Guilty", "Down", "Enough", and my favorite "Goodbye". The music is intense and definately puts you in the mood to get "rowdy". CDs usually contain 1 or 2 songs that are listened to continually, this album is the exception because every song is worthy of being played over and over.

Dunno why everyone's so down on this one

I think Gravity Kills gets unfairly dumped on just because they happened to get famous after NIN and Skinny Puppy. Quite frankly, I don't know what it is you wouldn't like about this CD if you liked all those other ones. OK, so it's not the most original thing on the planet, but so what? It's fun to listen to, and that's honestly all I ask. Maybe others demand some kind of earth-shattering experince, but I think that's just being unreasonable.
There are some slight dragging moments in here, but overall it's a solid, if conventional, idustrial rock production. If "breaking the mold" is what you want, then maybe stay away, but its by no means a bad album.
