Graveyard Shift is one of Stephen Kings first stories. This film adaption was made in 1990 and is brilliant for a number of reasons. Theres great special effects, eerie locations and a wierd and entertaining cast that includes Brad Dourif as The Exterminator. Theres real attention to detail in the rat infested surroundings. Graveyard Shift is a fun movie for horror and monster lovers and a good King film.

If you are into Horror Films then this is a must watch.
On the negative the character motivations make no sense; also there is no character development (but that isn't so much of an issue as frankly the 3 arc structure to character development bores me to tears, and it should be character serving the story, not the other way around.
The pluses are, it's a great story, well directed, the performances are terrific, it's got great visual effects, and best of all is the art direction, some of the best i've seen for a film of this type, or any film for that matter.
