Book Description

Taken from Jeffrey Archer's fourth collection of short stories, To Cut a Long Story Short, comes The Grass is Always Greener, an irresistible, witty and ingenious short read.

Bill has had the same spot under the archway outside Critchley's Bank for years. He knows all the staff: the yuppies, the middle-management, the executives . . . perhaps better than they know themselves. Across the company, from lowest to highest ranking, each looks at what the other has. But with every rung further up the ladder problems become increasingly complex and more difficult to escape from . . .

I am a huge Jeffrey Archer fan and have to date, hopefully have read all his works, but I am sure there is still something out there.
There is nothing that he writes that I don't like. Just keep on writing Jeffrey!

3.0 out of 5 stars A learning curve! 19 Jun. 2012

Having read many of Jeffrey Archer's books of short stories and enjoyed them, I was disappointed to find that I had only bought one 'short read' - that was a very short read. I will check in future to make sure i realise what I am buying.

4.0 out of 5 stars Review 26 Nov. 2012

A little disapointing. It turned out to be more of a pamphlet than a book - I can't help thinking that I was misled by the 'blurb' on ths one!

Never fails with his story telling, absolute pleasure to read, very much trying to out-guess him, but never manage it.

A very good read, it made you think about life. Geoffrey Archer's novels always seem to have a twist at the end,
which I like
