More About the Author

Ciaran O Connell was born in Dublin and began training as a psychiatric nurse in the early seventies. However, he moved to London in the early seventies as a follower of a twelve year old indian boy Guru and left his nursing career behind. This lasted another year before he headed off into the advertising and design world for the next thirty years.

Always a lover of the written word, he finally knuckled down to writing his stories in the late nineties, driven on by the encouragement of his wife and kids.

He and his wife now live in Mid Wales in a white house surrounded by fields and sheep And he loves it.

Ciaran has written his first novel - current working title is "One Dead Priest" - and he is hoping to publish it soon.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well worth a read 8 Sep 2013

These stories are written with a light and often quirky touch which entertains and engages. But beneath the apparent simplicity and easy-going style lurk twists and turns which echo the darker side of life and relationships. I look forward to hearing more from this author.

My favourite was Lost Horizons, the tale of the revenge of a scorned woman. My only disappointment in reading the book was that each story had to end, often leaving me wanting more.

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful read!! 31 July 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A brilliantly observant and witty collection of short stories which explore the realms of relationships exposing the joys and humour through to heartbreak and jealously that define the characters involved.

Will leave you wanting to discover more and excited by the potential plot and story lines - how could they continue?!

Can't say too much as don't want to give the stories away but buy it, relax with a drink and enjoy, I certainly did!
