Needed to water-proof my second hand convertible. I started with a product apparently designed for the job. It was expensive, messy, horrible to remove from non-soft top areas and a waste of time. An amazon reviewer recommended Fabsil. This is why I love the Amazon review system. You can learn so much.
Did my water-proofing yesterday with Fabsil. It rained in the night and I was pleased to see lots of satisfying beading on my softtop this morning!
Benefits of Fabsil:
Cost-effective: Two to three treatments in the can.
Easy and quick to put on: you paint it on.
Easy to control: you can easily spot drips and wipe off as you paint
Effective: Look at the picture, that is exactly what you get!
No idea about how long lasting the effect will be at this stage.
update: we are enjoying the wettest winter on record. My car is parked on the street. The beading is still as good as ever on the sides. On the top of the roof which has born the brunt of the conditions, it is still effective but not as good as on the sides. Overall, I am impressed!
