Product Description

Vice City, 1984. Opportunity abounds in a city emerging from the swamps, its growth fueled by the violent power struggle in a lucrative drugs trade. Construction is everywhere as a shining metropolis rises from foundations of crime and betrayal. As a soldier, Vic Vance has always protected his dysfunctional family, his country, himself. One bad decision later and that job is about to get much harder. Kicked out onto the streets of a city torn between glamour and gluttony, Vic is faced with a stark choice - build an empire or be crushed.

Impressive graphic overhaul
Vice City Stories is a monumental improvement upon the previous Grand Theft Auto title on the PlayStation Portable. For one, the draw distance has nearly doubled so that buildings and features can be seen across town. Character models and cars are as detailed as if they were on the PlayStation 2 and include all of the shine and transparency that looked so great in other Grand Theft Auto titles. Players can even choose the clothing that Vic will wear in Vice City. Overall, Rockstar has substantially increased all visual elements so that you don`t need to make any graphical sacrifices when taking Grand Theft Auto on the road.

Even the city appears as never before- people on the street will notice you and recognize you for the actions you`ve taken on previous missions. Some even comment about actions you`ve taken and give you an idea about how the public feels about your notoriety.

Expanded gameplay
New characters never before seen in Vice City add new twists to the story gamers were introduced to in the PlayStation 2 Vice City title. With a playtime of over 15 hours for the storyline alone, there is certainly plenty to see and hear in and around the city. Choose from various objectives to complete such as doing stunts for a chocolate commercial, chasing a known drug dealer to swipe his loot, and patrolling yo

There is truly nothing that comes close to this game on the psp, except maybe the other GTA games. Personally, I find most psp games extremely limited but here they have struck gold, and while on liberty city you died instantly if your car went into the water and other such things, here they have not only changed that but added functions like the helicopter which is endless fun. You can play for hours and never get bored, definitely a must have game.

I was a bit scared when I started playing this game. I thought it would be like Liberty City Stories and be a bit dull in places. But Vice City Stories-- I was amazed! It was brilliant. The story was better, the graphics-- everything! I actually liked the characters and laughed when they laughed.
It was fun, it was funny. I'm not one at describing or reviewing things. But Vice City Stories is one of those exceptions. But trust me, out of Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories, Vice City Stories beats it to the top.

Vice City. A city so nice they named it after some 80's American detective show that I've never seen before in my life. But enough about my TV distastes. It's time to talk about another PSP review. This time it's the turn of Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. GTA:VCS is a prequel to GTA: Vice City (a PS2 game released in 2002) just like GTA: Liberty City Stories is a prequel to GTAIII. VCS was released in 2006.

The game is set in 1984, about two years before the events of Vice City. You play the role of Vic Vance, an honest hard-working army soldier who ends up getting his marching orders after performing some dodgy missions for his heavily stoned sergeant, Jerry Martinez. Vic is now looking to get his revenge on Jerry. But first he has to complete a long list of missions before he can get a shot at his former boss, because life is complicated like that.

Once again Rockstar have thrown up a Grand Theft Auto game with a large and widely varied selection of missions, which include your usual driving-to-destinations and shooting enemies jobs. You also have to perform some tasks that you weren't expecting, but this helps with the variety and makes VCS a very enjoyable game. In one mission you have to drive an elderly man from the stadium to his house. But the man has a dodgy ticker, so you have to drive carefully. Driving too fast or into the view of an enemy car will cause him to get too stressed out and die of a heart attack.

There are numerous minor touches that make Vice City Stories an improvement over Liberty City stories. Helicopters, which made their debut in Vice City, make a return after being absent from LCS. So now you can fly to your destinations and enjoy the view of the city from the sky.

GTA Vice City Stories on Playstation Portable is pretty much your typical GTA, Great to have a bit of fun on but when it comes to serious gamers it doesnt deliver, the game is made for messing about on really not for gamers wanting a challenge so want this game if you want a challenge? I wouldn't recomend. The graphics could use improvement but thats what you get for a handheld devise, High quality game play i found the story intreging but after about an hour of doing missions you want to get back in the car and take down some innocent pedestrians. Unlockables on the game were fantastic in my book, Great for long journeys when all you have is maybe an ipod and psp? Still the dissapointment of taking time loading but again what do you expect?
Dissapointment there is no airplanes or helicopters but oh well.
I found the game fun, simple enough. I highlight the driving on the game as very simple compared to Grand Theft Auto 4. Characters are good and the range the map strains is impresive for a small devise. Cars look cool and i love the layed back general at the start. I would highly recommend to people that experience long journeys and people that enjoy to mess about on a game and not actually accomplish anything, however for gamers wanting a challenge this is not the game for you. The game in my view is good and handy to have in times of boredom. You does what it says on the tin.

In this game you are a man who has had a bad past with his parents been awkward and a brother he hasnt seen in years, life isn't going well for him. He decides to join the army (where you start off...)hoping to make his life easier but its just got worse...
The general is a drug-addict and orders you to get some cocaine from him (or something like that) and the rest you will have to find out yourself...

this game has very nice graphics with about roughly 50 cars and about 30 weapons this game is a delight to play on
P.S 18's and over!
