Who has played GTA Vice City, prob one of the best games ever made on PC, and NOT loved the 80s music? I know this is purely a moneyspinner from the game, but this box set is just plain excellent value for money, if you love 80s music(which I do, and I know that many others do too). Three reasons why...
1)You get a 7CD collection of 7 different styles of music from the 80s, and by and large they are all brilliant on their own.
2)You get the likes of Michael Jackson, Toto, Spandau Ballet, Human League, Tears for Fears, Foreigner, Bryan Adams, Twisted Sister, Roxy Music, Run DMC, INXS, Lionel Richie etc etc who would make ANY compilation album good. Put simply, these are PROPER ARTISTS, PROPER SONGS. Not only that, the artists all cater to different tastes, if you're somebody who likes a wide range of music(like yours truly)you will not be disappointed.
3)£25.99? For 7 good albums? If you like quality 80s music and lots of different styles, then £25.99 is a bargain.
Usually, I regard commercial spinoffs with contempt. However, for £25.99, you will not get a spinoff that is such good value for money. If you loved GTA Vice City, or you love 80s music, believe me this boxset, as a whole, is superb.
P.s. For more info and for my thoughts on the individual CDs- VRock(rock), Wave(new wave), Emotion(soft rock), Flash(pop), Wildstyle(hiphop/rap), Fever(R n B) and Espantoso(jazz/latino)- feel free to check out my reviews for each. I wanted to review this box set as a whole, not analyse each of the individual CDs as I have already done that!
