Well worth the money, & is cheap to run as well. I.E... To have 3 bars on for one hour will only cost you 12p!!! (4p per hour per bar)!!!

What a great little heater, its just the job! actually too warm on high for my living room and good value for money. The base is a little flimsy however and a little more weight about it would be better. I can't seem to get near it for the dog who also loves it, it provides a great deal of light too so its also a saving on lighting. My current electric heaters cost over one pound an hour to run, and two need to be turned on constantly for the room to be warm, diabolical as these apartments are newbuild from Persimmon.I will be putting a notice on our communial pin-board about these great little heaters and wait with anticipation for my electric bill. One negative was the incredibly poor packaging, I ordered two and one was broken on delivery, the element was smashed :( It was picked up on the very next morning though, a really good service. I had looked at several different halogen heaters after my last one gave me a nice blue flash and died and this one seemed the nicer looking and one of the more powerful models. Currently this is the source of heating in my flat as my electric supplier disconnected the storage heaters when I canged tariffs. I made that decision as the storage heaters only worked with energy7 or whatever its called these days and having to run them all night only to have the heat run out just as I needed it in the evening was proving to be very expensive. Last winters heating bills will take me two years to pay off, great stuff. This little heater I have been told, will run me around 12pence an hour and puts out an amazing amount of heat for its size. Its an all plastic casing as are the switches and these are the rocker type. There are three different heat settings although I've only had mine on the lowest so far and is doing an ok job of keeping my 14' x 10' livingroom nice and cozy. The base when mounted seems a bit flimsy and it wobbles a bit but doesn't look like its going to tip over and the cut-off feature works quite well. Handy for when I'm chasing my kids around, inevitably its going to get knocked over sooner or later. All in all I'm quite happy with the heater and will be buying another for the bedroom soon enough.

Handy gadget for cold corners.
Keeps me from being chilled when I use the computer in the cold corner of the room. Gives off a nice light too. Perfect for cold corners.
