This is not a book for just anyone to pick up at just any time and read straight through. The author intends it to be a companion through times of transition in life, to be picked up every now and then as the journey proceeds. He wants to help the reader to do that most difficult of things - to wait - and includes quotations from a wide variety of sources to that end. For Christians, the waiting is with God, but the book is accessible for those of other faiths and none too. Anyone who wants to slow down, to reflect, to tune in to the mystery of life. I've given it five stars because, for me, at a time of transition in my own life, it has been priceless.
