Amazon.com: 1 review
Beautiful, elegant, perfect 25 Dec 2011
By louienapoli - Published on Amazon.com
I'm not a paid reviewer, but I am an enthusiast, and Faber is one of the high-end pen and pencil manufacturers that is still owned and run by a small group, and overseen by one person. This affords a singularity of vision that influences the stunning designs and the stellar craftsmanship of Faber products. Indeed, I've been told that in Germany Faber is the top-selling brand for luxury pens, not Mont Blanc. The Faber attention to quality and design is exemplified by this pen, which should be seen in person. Silver in color, and rhodium plated, with a fine "barley" cross-hatching on the barrel, the pen feels solid and perfectly weighted, with or without the cap posted. Some Faber pens are really too long with the cap posted, in recognition of the European preference, so I am told, not to post the caps. But this pen is the perfect length with the cap posted. It just feels perfect and looks as handsome as any pen I've seen, including pens by other favorite brands including Pelikan, Waterman, Aurora, and Visconti. It's not cheap but it should last as long as I do, probably longer, and it gives me joy every time I see it. Fiver stars, Faber.
