I bought these from Harrow audio on the Amazon trader site & was absolutely delighted to receive them the following day.I had been toying with buying some in ear phones from,Sony,Shure or Sennheiser & was able to try the Shure EX500's after my son bought a pair.They are absolutely brilliant once you get the correct fitting & for 30mins or so I found them to be comfortable to wear but then I could feel a little soreness in my ear & a little fatigue from the intensity of the sound.I turned my attention to looking for a small pair of ordinary earphones & thats when I luckily found these Grados.I have been a fan of Grado products for years,I had a couple of their pickup cartridges in the 80's & have had a pair of SR60' for the past 5 years.I guess I just like the Grado sound which is very detailed with a lovely midrange & tight bass.These i-Grado phones apparently use the same drivers as my SR60's so they are nearly identical in sound quality at half the price.The reason for the price difference is obviously in the build quality,the i-Grados are not poorly made,far from it,its just that the SR 60's are a lot more substantial & a lot bigger.This would lead me to my only quibble with the phones & that is the noise leakage.This is a result of the open air design of the phones & from a wearers point of view is not a problem,it is fairly noticible from a neighbours vantage point however & could lead to some funny looks from other members of the public who dont like your choice of music.Comfortwise there is no problem ,I think they will fit most size heads,mine is quite wide & I had no problems with overtightness etc.All in all then from my point of view ,a winner,i'll be wearing them on my next flight to Australia in February,but i'll probably wait till everyone has their in flight cinema phones on first.

The sound quality is well rounded with excellent tone across the range. The drivers are dynamic and these are the best headphones I've ever used on a portable device. The sound quality is not far behind my studio headphones which cost a lot more.
On the down side, the head band is stiff and makes the positioning of the earpieces difficult, so they are not very comfortable, and the wires are extremely thin and poorly arranged, forming an old fashioned yoke, rather than running wires through the headband. They are also not entirely securely located, so I anticipate either sending them in for repair or replacing the wiring myself inside the first year. You can definitely tell where they saved money. It was a close run thing whether I sent these back, but the sound quality has saved them. If you are not using these on the go and you can spare the extra cash, definitely look at the SR60s.

1. Stiff and inflexible yoke.
2. Initially they give you the feel that they fit well but as the drums don't move or give around the ears they get uncomfortable after a lot of use.
3. Poor quality foam on the drums that started tearing after just 1 month of use.
4. The igrado mark is a sticker on the yoke that fell off after the second week.
5. The Y cable has a sticky feel and gets in the way. The cable never relaxed and kept the 'tied' shape it had when I unpacked it from the box. Cable management is tricky.
6. Although sound quality is very good, you need to crank em up to deliver the same volume as my Sennheiser PX250s.
7. I lost sound in one drum and I sent mine back after only 2 months.

Back to the drawing board Grado!
