5.0 out of 5 stars Suberb - variable contrast printing techniques, 20 May 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Gradient Light: Art and Craft of Using Variable Contrast Paper (Photography) (Hardcover)
This is an excellent look at the potential of variable contrast printing. It covers the whole creative process from visualisation through to making the print in the darkroom. A full range of split grading techniques and toning is covered. Shows a series of stunning images and takes you on a step by step process of how they were created. Chapters also cover broader topics with regard to fine art monochrome work. A valuable addition to any creative monochrome photographer's bookshelf.
