The Graco Nautilus is a combination car seat that grows with your child always assuring the same exceptional degree of safety and comfort. Suitable for use from 9-36kg (from 1 to approximately 12 years old) the Nautilus offers a flexible solution and a valuable investment for parents. Initially used with an integral harness, the seat converts to a high back booster seat for older children. The reinforced side impact protection on the headrest and backrest offers added protection for energy absorption in a crash. Nautilus can be used with the five-point safety harness for children from 9-18kg then without the harness from 15-36kg. Intuitive seat belt routing ensures correct fixing for peace of mind installation. Just follow the red parts to ensure the belt is always safely positioned. A unique recline handle with easy reach means that the seat can be reclined in one action ensuring ease of use and maximum comfort for the child.The seat also has five position height adjustment that grows with child and can be easily adjusted with one action. The integrated cupholder helps prevents spills and is easily reached by child. Additional storage compartments offer handy spaces for snacks and toys. Armrests give additional comfort and support for the child. For extra convenience, the Nautilus seat cover is padded and washable.

Amazon Verified Purchase
We had a Graco Baby seat and liked it a lot so we went for the Graco Nautilus 1/2/3 when my son was getting to big for the Baby seat. It's super easy to install, super comfortable and sturdy. He likes the cup holder and the little pockets for putting in his toys. The straps are soft and stay in place. He also falls asleep in it so he must feel comfy in it.

We have recently purchased a Graco Nautilus carseat. We have chosen it after some detailed research of carseats offered around. The product looks of great built quiality and I would expect it to be very comfy for my son (we have not tested it yet on the road as he is just below 9 kgs). I have rated it 4 out of 5 just because of one feature that although small, frustrated me and my wife quite a lot. On various photos over the internet the seat is shown with or without a padded body support that should be used at the initial stage 1 of the seat. It is considered to be for greater support and comfort of smaller children. On the amazon photo this body support is not shown but as we saw various photos we considered it's just a matter of differerent shots of the same carseat. However, when we received our package it turned out no such support was included, although it was shown on the pictures outside the box that the seat was packed in and on the marketing materials included in the box. Once we went through the owner's manual it turned out that this body support and some other elements are considered as optional accessories and apparently were not part of the product offered by amazon. However, this is not specifically stated on the amazon site and you would need a manual to find it out. I believe we would go without it and would be OK. My son is quite small in size for his age (11 months) and still when seated in the carseat seems to be fine without the body support. Still, future customers should have this in mind before ordering the seat from amazon, if they consider having this support for their child a must.

I thought choosing a new car seat for my three year old would be tricky, but it really wasn't. On a trip to Halfords my boy picked this out due to the drink holder! I sat him in it and he was really comfortable. He loved the compartment in the arm rests for snacks and toys but, more importantly, it's a substantial seat, well made and looks to offer a lot of protection.
Now, I'm not one to choose in-store then buy elsewhere online, but, as usual, the only member of staff I could find in Halfords confessed to knowing nothing about car seats, and the promise to send someone over who did resulted in me giving up after 20 minutes (despite the store being almost devoid of customers) and leaving.
The build quality on this is good, and it was easy enough to assemble. The fitting instructions, as I've found with all car seats, seem appropriately cryptic but I think I've secured it OK.
My only complaint it that it doesn't recline enough. Being three, my boy still sleeps in the car, and on its first use he did indeed fall asleep, but with his head falling forwards instead of comfortably back. So I re-installed it but with a towel under the front to make it lie back a bit. Since then we've driven to the Fench Alps and back and he's loved it. He's comfortable in it awake and has nodded off in it no problem.
The drinks' holder is a mixed blessing. He loves it, but drinks way to much on a long journey so we're always stopping for a wee!
So all in all, a good seat I'd recommend.
