This review is from: Grace Kerry's Magic with Black-eyed Beans and Other Recipes: A Nigerian Cook Book: A Nigerain Cook Book (Paperback)
On a trip to Lagos two years ago I was first alerted to a delicious taste sensation : black eyed beans. Since then, I have been looking for a cook book that explores fully the nutritional value and vesitility of black eyed beans. They say good things come to those who wait and I think it's fair to say that for me, Dr Kerrys magic with black-eyed beans and other recipes was definatly worth the virtue of patience. What a fantastic book! My wife and i can't get enough of the akara pancake recipie. (like my wife) This book is cute informative generous and compact.

What first attracted me to this book were the mouth watering pictures that made me hungry just looking at them! I know a bit about Nigerian cookery, but this is the first book I've come across that features genuine recipes in a clear and easy to follow format.Tne book is well laid out, with recipes that cater for vegetarians, meat eaters and vegans alike.I've tried some of the recipes and they are as delicious as they look, I can especially recommend the moi moi deluxe. The author has excelled herself and I highly recommend this unique book to anyone interested in trying African cookery, or just trying something new and delicious. I never knew you could do so many amazing things with beans! I look foward to the next in the series. 5 stars!
