Nathan has just started training for the secret organization BUM when greasy green globs of goop start oozing from every faucet in town. Gross! And what they encounter there may end Nathan s career as a zombie spy before it has even begun....

4.0 out of 5 stars Goop Soup 4 Jun 2012
A Kid's Review - Published on
Review by: Jason Age: 7
I'm an expert in chapter books. Some chapter books are: My Rotten Life, Dead Guy Spy, and Goop Soup. My favorite book is Goop Soup and I think it will be yours too because it's about a spy kid, Nathan. He helps save people's lives. I read about 30-50 minutes a day. Trust me, I know this is a good book.
This book is scary! If you are afraid of spies, then put this book down right now! You will like this book if you like funny things because what is funnier than having pigeon droppings on your head? Nothing! You will love this book if you love spies because the spies try and kidnap each other. It's full of action!
I give Goop Soup 4 stars. It is great because it is full of action like when the pigeon shot into Nathan's classroom. It is also great because it is full of details like when Nathan acts completely dead with the help of his friends. It's also full of dialogue like when the teacher shouts "My goodness!" Goop Soup is funny book. You should read it because it will make you crack up!

5.0 out of 5 stars Marvelous, one more time 3 Jun 2010

"Goup Soup" is another winner from David Lubar in his Nathan Abercrombie, the Accidental Zombie. As much as I enjoyed the first two, the third is a killer great book.

When green slime starts running from taps in his town amidst Nathans' BUM training, his life turns into a mess. Mommy plans a doctor appointment, and exactly how does he explain his 'new' state? It's great adolescent humor with a G rating meant for all ages!

David Lubar is an author whose voice matches his market like a baseball fits into a glove, a frank into a bun, and a mitfull of cookies into a kids' lunch. Much like Robert Munsch developed his skill, Lubar is on his way to becoming THE kids author to watch!

This is good because it is fiction. That's just my personal opinion though. But I reccomened reading the first and second book if you haven't already. Parents, If you're worrying about this being too scary for your child, it's not. Take from me , a nine year old. It's not about zombies or dead guys, at least not in a scary way. I reccomened this book.
