Gotterdammerung (Bodanzky, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra)Marjorie Lawrence is here the epitomy of the youthful Brunnhilde, this is the performance where she(unknown) to the conductor, leapt onto the horses back at the end of the immolation scene, and rode triumphant into the flames.Melchior is-well melchior, the finest heldentenor of the century, the rest of the cast is up to the job,the sound is good for 1936.
