Fantastic Book 9 Jan. 2014
By Caleb J Grossman - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
As I was reading the last pages of this book while sitting in an airport in Washington D.C., I was forced to stop a few times to wipe the tears in my eyes. The incredible stories told in this book stirred up two different emotions inside of me. While flipping through the pages of this book I was often sitting at the edge of my seat because I could not wait to see how the gospel had advanced in these stories. I began to feel emotionally attached to these patronage accounts because being a Christian, I have been affected by the work that they did.
The other emotion that awakened in me while reading this book was a feeling of inspiration. As I prepared to fly thousands of miles I could not help but think where the gospel was going to take me someday. As preacher and missionary the gospel has and is going to take me all across the world. My imagination was wondering about how my life could be affected by someone’s gospel patronage.
This book shines the light onto a very important part of completing the Great Commission. If you are wondering what role you could play in it’s completion, this is the book for you.

Gospel Patrons is a unique, untold story 12 Jan. 2014
By S. Cheney - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
I loved this book. I love that the story is not the normal story that you hear in other books. It brings to life some of the history of previous gospel patrons who risked so much to advance the Gospel.
My favorite line, "There are many good things that need to be done in our world, many good causes that need support, but proclaiming the gospel is exclusive to the people of God. No one else will do it, and no one else will fund it."

Highly Recommend! 9 Jan. 2014
By Evelyn Peck - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Both encouraging and thought-provoking – this book is easy to read, informative and compelling. Through historical stories, the author demonstrates how God uses individuals to fulfill The Great Commission – ordinary people used in an extraordinary way! It challenges and encourages us to step up to the plate and play “ball”!

A new insight into Patronage 9 Jan. 2014
By Evan Keech - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
Gospel Patrons is an easy read, serving to clarify and sharpen the focus on the subject of biblical patronage.

Many books have been written about giving, how to honor Jesus through our work and what it looks like to be generous. Almost nothing exists on the specific idea of gospel patronage. Gospel Patrons has laid the foundation with wonderfully colorful historical examples about what it means to be a patron. Patronage is about more than giving and serving. Patronage is about obedience, sacrifice, risk and endurance. Gospel Patrons uses examples of well known figures in the history of the church, digs deeper and shares about the lives of their lesser known, but critically important patrons. Their stories are interesting, their lives remarkable, and their legacies supported the mission to grow the Kingdom of Christ.

For people seeking to know how patronage helps grow Christ's kingdom, this book is a must-read.

Awesome message and superbly written! 10 Jan. 2014
By Todd Lohstreter - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
John did a fantastic job of bringing past stories to life in a short narrative. Gospel Patrons encourages everyone to join in the world changing mission of advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I especially recommend this book for those who do not feel called to the mission field - it will provide incredible insight into the role and impact you have in the Body of Christ. This is a book I want to get into the hands of as many people as possible.
