5.0 out of 5 stars Heavy! Great CD! 10 Jan 2013

I had never heard any Gorgeous Frankenstein until recently so I decided to purchase this. I'm a big fan of the Misfits and really didn't know what to expect out of Doyle's band but I'm pleased, wish I could of discovered this sooner. Doyle's guitar riffs a simply badass.. A heavy crankin thunderstorm that gets you pumped up. I've read alot of complaints about the vocalist being horrible and sounding to much like Danzig but in my opinion it fit's the sound of the music. I like Michael Graves as singer but I think he would be to melodic for this stuff, it's nothing like Misfits really but if you're a fan of Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein's style and sound then you'll love this. Also if you are person who is into fitness and working out then this will get you pumped up. I'm ready to hear some more stuff out of Gorgeous Frankenstein. Check it out!

5.0 out of 5 stars Head crankin and thunder forever. 14 Jun 2012

I will keep this simple and short. If you miss the thunderous, unmistakable heavy guitar riffs of Doyle wolfgang vonfrankenstein on american psycho and famous monsters, this album is a much appreciated, long awaited infusion of asskicking. Now in the spotlight, Doyle shows off even more of the unmistakable talent he helped power the misfits with. This album can best be described as a braindead, skull smashing, devil lock spiraling lesson in brutality. A downward, pressure inducing sonic blast free of feelings, that will always pump you up. This Album makes up for any technical issues with more than enough attitude and gusto.

1.0 out of 5 stars Am I missing something? 27 Nov 2007

I'm going to keep this short. The vocals. They suck. Bad. I mean if you are a misfits fan at all you cannot say you will immediately like this. I myself was hoping that Doyle's return to music would be better than this wad of poo. It really sounds like bad wrestling metal and the singer sounds like a poor man's Phil Anselmo (I'm not a Pantera fan by the way). I heard a demo of the Beautiful Frankenstein track with Michale Graves on vocals and it actually sounded great. This album reminds me of why Danzig 6-8 sucked. There is just nothing exciting about this. Now there is hope: The guy who sang on this record is already gone from the band lol. Goolsby from Blitzkid is playing bass in the band and Blitzkid is probably the best thing to happen to Horror rock/punk since The Misfits themselves so hopefully with Goolsby's influence they will get a better singer and write better songs. Hell, even Blitzkids drummer is in this band now! Skip this and get a Blitzkid cd PLEEZ!

5.0 out of 5 stars It's good. 4 April 2008

Well, to put it to you simply, Gorgeous Frankenstein sounds alot like Danzig's heavier stuff. The vocals I thought were pretty good, while Frankenstein did put together some pretty good riffs. Oh, and Glenn Danzig produced this album. If you like Danzig's latest recordings (666 satan's child, circle of snakes) than you should enjoy Gorgeous Frankenstein.

This is a really cool album. Doyle's playing is on point and cool (as usual). When i first got the record the vocals were a little hard to hear at times, but as the other songs played they were consistently better. The vocals for the tracks are fitting for the songs. If you are a fan of Doyle and his projects, pick this up. My favorite song is "Made in Hell" but "Hellangel" and "Reverse of God" are seriously cool songs.
