This CD is a real treat to listen to and work with. It's also on a totally different level from any of the other things out there in the same vein. On the first disc Gordon walks you through the basics of spiritual development, mediumship, meditation, development circles, spirit guides, healing, etc, and his explanations are disarmingly honest and straightforward. They are also very funny at times. Gordon is very open and humble about his own development, his mistakes as well as his successes. I've listened to this CD a lot, and still find something new in it every time. It's so refreshing to have someone like Gordon Smith to take the mystery and fear out of the spirit world, and make it appealing, understandable and accessible to everyone.

The second CD contains three meditations that are simple, powerful and very effective. They are also very easy to use, and don't require any prior experience of meditation. The first one explains the basics of meditation, getting in touch with your higher self, and is very relaxing; the second one is a beautiful meditation to connect you to your spirit guides easily but powerfully; and the third one is quite unique, as it guides you through a meditation to develop compassion and healing for others. Gordon's voice is just right, as is the speed and content of each meditation, including the spaces where there is just silence. So many other guided meditation CDs rush you through the whole thing, and leave you feeling very dissatisfied, but this one is in a class of its own. This really is his best work to date.
