Have used this Christmas present for the second time only and the jug has cracked. The first time was to make soup over Christmas and everything was fine, apart from having to hold the lid down tightly as the lid was being forced off whilst blending! However, having used it today, the jug just cracked immediately from top to bottom whilst pouring liquid into it. It does not say anywhere in the manual supplied with mine about hot liquids and cracking - so maybe this has been added to more recent instructions following complaints. So disappointed!

My main reason for purchasing this was to make purees for my 6 month old. I am well aware that hot liquids should not be poured into cold glass, so I heated the glass jug with water from the tap waited for the temp of the food to cool down a bit, put it in the blender turned it on and 5 seconds later it cracked!! Why would you make a blender from glass if the majority of people will be using it to blend soups etc & it cannot withstand hot foods/liquids?? Extremely disappointed.

This blender is awful I'm not normally one to whinge on feedback pages but please don't buy this. The lid seems to form such a tight seal it's impossible to prise it off without cradling the jug against you - not the best idea when you're making soup. Then to make matters worse as soon as you start blending the force of the liquid inside blows the lid off covering your walls in soup!!! Has this actually been product tested???

Don't buy if you want this blender for soups
I'm very disappointed in this blender I've used it once o make a smoothy which I have to say was great. I made a soup, allowed the veg to cool slightly and put in the blender. Read more
