Have used this Christmas present for the second time only and the jug has cracked. The first time was to make soup over Christmas and everything was fine, apart from having to hold the lid down tightly as the lid was being forced off whilst blending! However, having used it today, the jug just cracked immediately from top to bottom whilst pouring liquid into it. It does not say anywhere in the manual supplied with mine about hot liquids and cracking - so maybe this has been added to more recent instructions following complaints. So disappointed!

My main reason for purchasing this was to make purees for my 6 month old. I am well aware that hot liquids should not be poured into cold glass, so I heated the glass jug with water from the tap waited for the temp of the food to cool down a bit, put it in the blender turned it on and 5 seconds later it cracked!! Why would you make a blender from glass if the majority of people will be using it to blend soups etc & it cannot withstand hot foods/liquids?? Extremely disappointed.

This blender is awful I'm not normally one to whinge on feedback pages but please don't buy this. The lid seems to form such a tight seal it's impossible to prise it off without cradling the jug against you - not the best idea when you're making soup. Then to make matters worse as soon as you start blending the force of the liquid inside blows the lid off covering your walls in soup!!! Has this actually been product tested???

I have had this blender one week. I am now sending it back. From the first use it leaked. Before I even turned it on milk was dribbling out down the back of the blender unit and once I turned it on there was milk everywhere. I took it all apart thinking I had done something wrong but no. It just leaks everytime. Lovely milk all over my kitchen. Just too much hassle to bother with it.Very disappointed.

I'm very disappointed in this blender I've used it once o make a smoothy which I have to say was great. I made a soup, allowed the veg to cool slightly and put in the blender. The glass cracked! I wouldn't even say it was piping hot. Now I have a blender with no glass jug! So as not to waste the appliance i now need to call customer services to see how much a replacement jug wil cost. Probably not worth replacing anyway!

Most dangerous thing in my kitchen! First time I used it to blend hot soup the lid blasted off with the force of just one pulse (good job I didn't use high or even low speed!), covering the kitchen walls, worktop and floor and actually scalding my hand and foot! There is no way that you can hold the lid on any tighter than I did with one hand whilst pressing buttons with the other and I didn't overfill it. The lid should have a proper catch but there is just a tight seal which is very difficult to close and also to open. Don't buy it!

The glass jug on this blender is rubbish - we used the blender for the 3rd time and with only 2 ladels of warm liquid the glass cracked - as in the words of Gordon Ramsey "come on......"
I will say the design is good but what is the point if it is not up to what it is meant to do!

Having read the other reviews I felt I must share my experience too. I had this present two years ago this Christmas and on the second use when it was just over a year old the glass cracked as I tried to blend soup. I was very upset and searched the internet for a replacement jug which I have not yet found, although I probably did'nt look hard enough. Now after reading the reviews is it worth it, seems a commin fault and one which should be adressed by the manufacture. A total waste of money and my opinion is dont buy!!!
