Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

"A phenomenal piece of apparatus, versatility beyond belief, professional and diverse. The Bamix has been a substantial influence in my kitchens... I fell in love with this machine many years ago" - Gordon Ramsay

The most versatile hand held food processor in the world!Used by Gordon Ramsay for over 15 years.

Famous for its ability to turn skimmed milk into the consistency of double cream! Use it to grind coffee and spices, puree baby food, blend soups and sauces, make delicious mayonnaise chop vegetables, make breadcrumbs even crush ice!. Easy to use and easy to clean.

2 speeds 12,000rpm & 18,000rpm. 2 speed pulse security buttons. Comes with a 10 year guarantee and is made entirely in Switzerland.

"I first made the aquaintance of Bamix in Paris in 1991 whilst working for Guy Savoy. Now this was a very handy little tool that could do things in the kitchen and seemed to change ordinary dishes into something very different. Essentially the Bamix can turn thick weighty soups into something light, exciting and sexy by aerating the liquid into a fluffy sensation that lies delicately on the palate. In 1992 I used it to put together a tasting dish called 'Cappucino of white beans with grated truffle' as part of the menu that helped me to win 'Chef of the Year'." - Gordon Ramsay

    5.0 out of 5 stars You won't regret it.... 26 Aug 2007
My Bamix is one of the best kitchen bits that I've bought. It makes perfect mayo in seconds and the most amazing thing is that Skimmed Milk chilled for 20 mins in the freezer can be whipped and made into thick cream - add a couple of strawberries or blueberries and you have a no fat/ no sugar dessert. No other blender can do this (allegedly)!

It purees veg into soup in the pan, chops and grinds - even ice into slush puppies. Amazing bit of kit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top Quality 1 Oct 2007
    By Swissol
This is an incredibly well built piece of kit. When you first get it out of the box you know that this is a solidly built blender, but still light enough to make it highly useable.

You know from the start that this machine is not going to let you down.

You get all you need to chop, blend, mince, beat whip and grind.

Seems a lot to spend on a blender, but I doubt very much I am ever going to need to buy another.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny! 27 Nov 2007
I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" and this proves my point.

It may be more expensive than other options on the market but its very well made, with a solid body and great power levels.

The attachments/blades are solid metal and built to last.

As a past restaurant owner I can definitely recommended this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous piece of kit! 9 Aug 2008
I have this Bamix and highly recommend it. In fact, you know people say things like, "oh you get a "blender" and it ends up in a cupboard and you never use it!" Well, with this one, you will use it just about every day if you enjoy cooking. And if it's stored as it's meant to be, on the stand provided, then you WILL use it every day! I DO!
The quality speaks for itself - I am always recommending it to family and friends. I love making cakes and always use it to mix the ingredients together. My cakes are always light and fluffy and the envy of others!
I love the way it whizzes up mayonnaise in a jiffy for a fraction of the price of a jar and you can vary the taste with different mustards. I also use the grinder to make fresh breadcrumbs in a fraction of the time it takes to get out a liquidiser (from the cupboard!)
Another great thing is that it is backed by a 10 year guarantee so don't worry about the insurance offered for 22+ - it's not necessary. Simply keep your receipt and send it back if it goes wrong.
To be honest, I've just had mine replaced as one of the speed buttons kept sticking -it was probably due to some food stuff behind the button but to be frank, it was no problem sending it back and getting a brand new one in return. Excellent service!

5.0 out of 5 stars THE BEST PIECE OF KITCHEN EQUIPMENT 5 Dec 2007
This blender is amazing - you can blend soups in the pan & it doesn't scratch the pan as it has "space" around the blade so no pan scratching or that annoying time consuming soup from pan to jug to blender & back routine, plus smart & compact enough to stay on the kitchen surface day to day so it is always to hand when needed, well worth the money as you get different blades which simply click on to the main part, go on buy it you know you want to!!

5.0 out of 5 stars if it's good enough for Gordon.. 22 May 2008
This is a well conceived and made bit of kit, it makes difficult sauces/'cappucino' with no fuss, it is easy to use and clean. the Ramsey cd is very helpful; He says that each of his restaurant stations has their own.
So much better than the good but cheaper alternatives. Buy one, get some eggs and you'll be making real mayo and bechemel in no time.
One of only a few kitchen Gadgets i would replace if it would (unlikely) fail.
It's quite possible to take off your finger pulp if you change ends without turning off the power, be careful!

Good blender, but you do need a good jug to go with it, as there isn't one included in the box.

Fantastic item, when it first arrived I thought it was a bit over rated, then I gradually overcame my fear and started to use it more and more, now it is a piece of kitchen gadget that is never out of my hand, so versatile. Would not be without now, I am even buying one for my daughter for a CHRISTMAS PRESENT.
