The 45th Goosebumps book and the best of the summer camp tales (there are 8 in total). Ghost camp is a real spine tingling read. Two brothers Harry and Alex go to camp spirit moon for the summer holidays, the moment they get there things get strange. R.L Stine builds the tension and mystery perfectly dropping strange breadcrumbs that takes the protagonists and the reader down an eerie path leading too an action packed climax that is truly scary. The camp is full of strange goings on, blue cold slime, scary pranks, weird camp songs, bizarre ghost stories and an unsettling fog. Harry and Alex have very different personalities (Harry's very boyish and tough, Alex is very feminine, he likes to sing a LOT) which makes them solid characters, even the side characters are very memorable, most notably Lucy a mysterious girl who's into Harry and Elvis a terrible singer who seems into Alex. This is Goosebumps at its best. A rushed ending and a "saw that coming twist" are the only flaws in a double climax that isn't short on suspense and terror.
