I bought this case over the similar, and otherwise superior Poetic case, specifically because it was possible to fold the cover over the back with this case and not with the similar Poetic one. (If you can't fold the cover over the back, how else are you meant to use the tablet when holding it in your hands?)
However, like many other 1st revision cases for the Nexus 7, the "smart" magnet for turning the tablet on and off is too strong, so as soon as you fold the cover backwards the tablet turns off again. It also turns out that when the magnet is near the tablet, the power buttons are overridden so you cannot turn the tablet on at all.
This means you have to have the cover hanging around on the left of the tablet (only viable if you hold with your right hand and point with your left), or rolled up as a sort of "handle" for your left hand to grip. But if you're happy doing that, get the Poetic case which is also on Amazon as it is much thinner and it doesn't have the extra flap (that goes round the back of this case when it is closed) making the cover/door 1/3rd larger while it is hanging on the left.
