I dont normally do reviews but thought I should share my experience ive had with the seller and the product.

*OK start with the seller*

The 1st item I received had a fault with it, no matter what I did (i.e. resetting the device to default) the device kept on crashing then going off and on, black screen etc and it was just unusable.
So I sent an email to the seller and I got a response within 48 hours. I explained the problem, sent them a few images and a video of the problem and the lady suggested a tried a 2A usb charger as it could be power issue.
Anyway brought a 2A usb charger (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008DDG6DQ/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00) and tried that, but still had the problem.(I think it was a issue with the hdmi connection to be honest)
So I sent another email to Amy. She said the device needed testing so for me to send it back.
I was happy to send it back but wasn't happy about paying for the postage charges ( ive already paid out for a 2a usb charger so didn't want to spend any more money) so she said she will contact me back within 48 hours.
24 hours later I had a email saying she had sent another device out and to wait.
Received the new device a week later and plugged it in. Waited a couple of minutes for the device to boot up and success! it works!

*So now onto the product*
If you used android before then you will be familiar with this, its just a customized tablet version of android.
I'm still playing around with it at the moment so will update my review later on.

There's plenty of apps on play store. I've found the best browser to use is firebox and you can even watch tv/live streaming so its what I wanted it for.

Received Android TV dongle yesterday.

One end fits directly into the HDMI slot of the TV the other connected by a USB lead to USB slot of TV.

However you also need to fit a Dongle for a wireless mouse, so the USB lead from the TV dongle goes to a POWERED USB Hub which then connects to TV USB slot.

I used the cheapest wireless 2,4G mouse I could find and this connected ... after a bit of messing about.

Once mouse was connected it was easy enough to set up wireless connection to router, after which the internet worked fine.

Setting up Iplayer was a bit of a pain, until I tried downloading " BBC Media" software instead of "Iplayer" software, after this everything worked.

... It seems Iplayer software downloads program to machine, for you to play later, while BBC Media streams program from BBC website. The BBC has yest to produce an Adroid version of Iplayer software, but BBC Media works OK

Signal to router is weak so I might try an extension HDMI lead to allow me to re-position Dongle ... I suspect the location behind the TV is blocking signal.

At this point I am really impressed, how long this lasts remains to be seen!

After running unit for a few hours it is still running reasonably cool and has accepted a cheap webcam I have had knocking around for a few years. it has also acknowledged a 32GB memory stick, plugged into hub and seems to be networking to my other PC's.

...

Unit has been running for 2 weeks now and is fine. Mediahouse is better app for media sharing on home system than the supplied app. Occasionally unit gets a bit slow, re-booting it helps.

Great purchase! turned my hd tv to smart tv within one minute!I had to buy a wireless keyboard and mouse to easy operate the internet browser. Great picture, and easy to operate and set up. Don't need a manual to set up! just plug it in and log in into your google acc (need to have a google account). Absolutely worth that money! Would recommend to everyone!!!

I have only had this a day and have been really impressed. I brought it for my TV in the bedroom, this is a slightly older LCD TV with a HDMI slot and no USB, so i had to power the unit using the supplied Micro USB power adapter in a plug socket ( i tried it on my main LED TV this has a spare USB port and it works using a small USB to micro USB cable).

It takes a minute or two to load but once loaded i found the unit to be very responsive and quick. I have ordered a wireless keyboard with trackpad (this hasn't arrived yet) so i used a normal plug in mouse, i was slightly stumped after putting in my WiFi settings on how to get back to the desktop, and then realized that clicking the right mouse button is the same as the back button on an android device (maybe i should read the instructions).

I have been able to use the explorer to connect to my other computers on the network and also my networked media hub hard drives and play AVI and MP4 files, something the XBOX360 seems to have a problem with.

Surfing the net is simple with the installed browser and it comes with Google Play also installed.

Overall i have been very satisfied for this great little computer (media Center)

Edit - 3/4 weeks after having this media player the Micro USB power connector broke off inside the casing, being an electronic engineer with over 25 years experience i opened it up and had a look (there is nothing but two small solder joints holding this to the PCB. considering this is mobile unit i would have expected some sort of tie to keep it in place. Overall the media player is good while working but is a little flimsy.
