As any newly published author will attest, the process of marketing books is a completely different process, and requires a completely separate focus and mindset than the actual writing.

Goodreads is a great social media strategy for authors to get their message out to their prospective readers but like any strategy, there is a learning curve involved in learning the nuts and bolts of how the strategy works

This book is a great resource that will fast track you on your quest to learn ANYTHING related to Goodreads. It is full of strategies, tactics, tips, and importantly advice from the author on how best to utilize this important platform.

The book is set out in a clear, concise and very readable style that will guide you through the steps necessary to utilize this platform to its greatest effectiveness.

It covers how to sign up to Goodreads as a reader, or as a writer. It demonstrates the use of bookshelves, groups and recommendations to quickly get a handle on using Goodreads effectively.

What stands out for me, is the attention to detail. Even those who are familiar with the platform will find countless tips, tricks and shortcuts which are not available elsewhere.

The extensive clickable table of contents allows you to find very specific information at a click, and this feature alone is worth the cost of the book, and is an invaluable resource.

As a newly published author, who only had a very basic understanding of Goodreads, I have found this book invaluable and it will be a great resource in my future promotional work.

I must admit when I first got this book, I was completely new to goodreads and I found this book rather confusing. But I knew that the power of good reads is amazing and I wanted to keep trying.

Once I started to get a better understanding of goodreads, this book started to make a bit more sense to me.

So I started again right from the start and literally followed it step by step and now it has really helped me to set up goodreads and use it to full effect.

So glad I came across this :)

I've been on Goodreads as a reader for several years and love to add book reviews there. But I had never really explored the different aspects as there are so many possibilities on GR. This book helps navigate the key things you need to know as an author, as well as emphasizing that GR is a community for readers, and not a place to spam anyone about your book! I learned specifically about shelves which I had never taken advantage of before as well as some best practices. Useful.

This was the best investment I made in the marketing of my book. Michelle takes a subject that appears complex on first sight and converts it into a straightforward process. I read the whole book in a couple of hours, then went back and used the bits I needed to set up and operate my Goodreads account. Highly recommended for any Goodreads beginners, and also as a refresher for the more experienced user.

What a fantasic read. I new about goodreads but only thought it was for books lovers.. that was until I read this book. It opened my eyes to ultimate opportunities for authors of fiction books and non-fiction books. My mind is still buzzing with all the ideas and tips of every single aspect of goodreads. If your an author or wish to become one you must buy this book. So good I am spending all weekend going through every stage of this book and setting up an author account at goodreads. I have never seen an non-fiction book so well researched and put together by step-by-step. Six stars not five as amazon allows
