Goodnight, thankyou. You've been a lovely singer!, 28 July 2003
By A Customer
This DVD was originally meant to be a farewell from Ms. O'Connor, who announced she would be retiring from music business as of July 2002. Now a new double album scheduled for September, it looks like the equally notorious and revered Irish firebrand will keep on biding farewells.
We are lucky, then.
Goodnight Thankyou, You've Been A Lovely Audience ranks as the first DVD in the singer's career of fifteen years. It is a live recording of a 2002 Dublin gig, and mainly focuses on her last release, Irish traditionals record, Sean-Nos Nua. Numbers from her stellar back catalogue are not forgotten, though: Nothing Compares 2 U, Thank You For Hearing Me and Fire On Babylon are all here, all in all reminding us what an amazing singer she has been.
This DVD is a good opportunity to - once again - hail Sinéad O'Connor as one of the most original and talented singers of the 90's, and beyond, here's hoping.

A Good Buy, 8 July 2009
This is one of those music DVDs that is good the first time you see it and you know that it will get better and better the more you watch it. I've given it a four star rating today but in six months time it may well be five. If you like original live music that is packed full of emotion (it gives my wife goose bumps)then buy it.
