1.0 out of 5 stars Didn't get into this at all. 21 April 2013

This is the first book I've given a 1-star. It was not what I expected based on the book description and removed it from my kindle.
4.0 out of 5 stars Perhaps A British Author? 29 Sep 2012

There are many unfamiliar idioms and expressions, but I was fascinated by the quick exchange of thoughts and conversations. (Don't forget to use the Kindle sometimes even helps with the slang.) It was usually easy to guess what the author was referring to, not detracting from the story, but enhancing its charm. And it is a charming story! The main character is very appealing. She struggles to cope with the changes in her life as her children leave the nest. She transforms right before your eyes as she moves from a seemingly secure but drab existence to a life full of challenge, excitement, and potential. Most mothers have to re-evaluate their lives after they are no longer actively parenting. It's interesting to see how one woman redefines herself. It was worth reading.
4.0 out of 5 stars quick - light - nice read 22 Sep 2012

A light read, nothing to rock your world, but a nice Rainy day entertainment. This definitely had an editor, only a couple tiny things missed.
