Don't Battle an Eating Disorder Forever- Recover from It Completely
Jenni Schaefer and Ed (eating disorder) are no longer on speaking terms, not even in her most difficult moments. In her bestseller, Life Without Ed, Jenni learned to treat her eating disorder as a relationship, not a condition-enabling her to break up with Ed once and for all.

In Goodbye Ed, Hello Me Jenni shows you that being fully recovered is not just about breaking free from destructive behaviors with food and having a healthy relationship with your body; it also means finding joy and peace in your life.

"Jenni Schaefer has dedicated her life to helping people overcome their eating disorders and live life to the fullest. She is an inspiration to all!" --Dr. Phil

“Every young woman and man interested in overcoming disordered eating should read this treasure of a book.”
-Leigh Cohn, M.A.T., CEDS, Editor-in-Chief, Eating Disorders: The Journal of Treatment and Prevention

“The beauty of Jenni's written journey through her tormented relationship with Ed is that it is honest, passionate, hopeful-but, most important, it ultimately assures the reader that life really can move on.”
-Lynn Grefe, CEO, National Eating Disorders Association

Combining Jenni's signature personal advice and unfailing encouragement along with valuable exercises you can do as you read, Goodbye Ed, Hello Me will give you the prescriptive tools to take the final steps in divorcing your Ed completely.

Foreword by Carolyn Costin, LMFT, M.A., M.Ed.

Wow, I have just finished this book and I don't intend to stop reading it, I'll just keep re-reading until I am fully recovered like Jenni. This book has given me an incredible push forward in my attempts to put my anorexia behind me and get back to living a normal, happy life. Jenni's story and particular anecdotes have inspired me so much to finally pull away from my own demon, and she shows that I can truly gain back a full and happy life as a recovered person, which I suppose I never fully believed was possible. It has helped me break through so many of the little things that were holding me back from a full recovery, to see a future where there is just life, friends, fun... yes, and ways of dealing with problems without killing myself. Thanks Jenni, and please, other sufferers, just read this and see for yourself.

After reading 'Life without Ed' and finding it extremely helpful, I was left seeking more. Jenni has helped me more than any therapist, and by personifying the voice of ED I was able to seperate it from myself. Yesterday, I ate my first ever meal without supervision~ is it coincidence that I found the strength to do this just days after finishing Jenni's books? I personally believe 'Life after Ed' is better for kickstarting recovery and helping you find the motivation to start the process. 'Goodbye Ed, Hello Me' will be a book I come back to when I am further on with my recovery. Brilliant, truly brilliant.

Best of the Pack 20 Oct 2011
By Winnie - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
First i need to say that I read a lot, at first because i wanted to learn English, so i started to read Kindle ebooks.

It was a way to find good and cheap books in English to improve my skills. Now I'm able to read very well, not so much writing as you can see.

Anyway,

About the book. I read a lot about this subject, I've had a family member with an eating disorder and that made her parents suffer a lot, besides after this event I've became interested on this particular theme. I've read most of the Amazon's bestsellers about this subject at least once and I have to say that most books are just plain bad. They use re-hashed content or non value at all. And some are written by people who does not look like knows English very well. Like me.

Anyway,

I've only found 3 really good books on this subject on the Amazon sea, more on this after the break.

Because Goodbye Ed, Hello Me is in another league. I can't recommend enough this book, even if you don't have an eating disorder or anyone on your family I still recommend for the lessons you can learn. It's a book with such inspiration and hope. I couldn't put it down from start to finish. It had me constantly wondering what was going to happen next.

Jenni makes this book so personal and touching and one way or another everyone can relate with her story. It's a highly recommended book.

Besides this book the only other bestseller I can recommend about this subject is Wasted: A Memoir of Anorexia and Bulimia (P.S.)

Amazon is pretty big so a few gems are sometimes lost in the Amazon sea What is Wrong With My Bathroom Scale? is one of those books. This is my last but not least choice and in my humble opinion should have more recognition that it has.

One of the BEST out there... 4 Sep 2009
By Kirsten Haglund - Published on Amazon.com

I was so thrilled yesterday to open up my mailbox to find an autographed copy of Jenni Schaefer's new book, Goodbye Ed, Hello Me! Jenni is also the wonderful author of the book Life Without Ed, a humorous, insightful, and down-to-earth personal story of one woman's 'break-up' and recovery from Ed: her eating disorder. Her lastest work is its companion. I read Life Without Ed during my recovery, and have since recommended it out as a helpful tool to many young men and women as I travel and speak. I was lucky enough to read Goodbye Ed, Hello Me pre-publication and offer a quote for the first page. I HIGHLY recommend both of these books for both individuals and families going through this battle. Jenni's writing is insightful and real; no lofty language, no 'doctor' talk, just raw human emotions, and humor as well. Everyone can relate to Jenni's story, and she is so honest! It's refreshing.

I love this book. It is easy to read as it is broken up into small chapters. Jenni is upbeat and very convincing. I like how she doesn't leave room for many excuses in recovery. The book is easy to relate to and I would recommend this book to anybody who is in recovery from an eating disorder.
