This book is great. It's really easy to read and full of all kinds of useful information. It covers everything from the different types of dog shows to moving your dog around the ring with loads more in between.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to show their dog but doesn't know how to start.

If I needed to know what not to wear in the showring, I would have gone to Trinnie and Suzannah. The book is useful on show ring etiquette and how to get involved in shows. The emphasis - as I should have realised from the title - is on the person showing the dog, and not the dog itself. What I really need to know is how to train my dog to stand, move, stop, show its teeth, hold its head up etc. etc. This book doesn't tell me.

Bought this for my grand daughter who has just started to show her own dog & true to Peggy Grayson it is a non nonsense manual for her to work from, a good book for those who want to know more of the basics.
