I've tried two of these products and neither of them have worked as advertised.
The charger works fine on rechargeable batteries, but with alkaline batteries the battery indicator shows fully charged within a few minutes, at which point the charge turns into a trickle charge. The charge stored on the batteries just disappears within seconds when applied to my battery tester. I've tried all sorts of AAs and AAAs but I've got the same result. There's no rechargeable/alkaline battery switch that I've read about on some other chargers that claim to charge alkaline batteries, which I'm guessing does something like change the voltage from 1.2V (rechargeable) to 1.5V (alkaline).
I've written to Good Ideas about it and have only managed to get my money back and not an explanation. I'm baffled how they can flaunt a product as doing something that it can't, unless I'm just unbelievably unlucky and have been given two dud products.
In addition, the charger is unusually big, and the charge lights rapidly and constantly flash like rubbish christmas tree lights which can be distracting. Not that this really matters cause it doesn't work anyway.
