True horseman 30 Aug 2009
Format:Paperback
Mark Rashid is a true horseman. He has changed the way I look at my relationships with my horses. There are no techniques to learn like with Monty Roberts and Pat Parelli. Most of it just comes down to changing your perspective. His books are filled with examples of how he learnt and how he changed his outlook, with the help of the Old Man he worked for as a child. There will be plenty of things you can relate to.

If you like me are a lover of horsey anecdotes then grab a copy of this. Mark Rashid at his best provides excellent advice on natural management of horses bound up in a wealth of colourful tales. From his first involvement with the equine world he has been inadvertently caught up in a wonderful learning journey under the tutelage of the old man. Woven subtly into the stories are practical solutions to many of the behavioural issues we may come across from time to time in our dealings with horses. A practical and entertaining read for all ages.

Amazing 26 Oct 2010
By Clare
Format:Paperback
From the minute I read the first page, I wanted to keep on reading. I couldn't read this book fast enough yet wanted to savour every word. This is a truly amazing read and makes complete sense. There is no better way to handle horses than to continually look at it from their point of view and to take the time to give them the opportunity to learn. His style of writing is so engaging and really brings the words on the page to life. Forget training guides and a set of instructions. What better way to learn than through real life experiences and stories, and he always delivers the message clearly. Loved it.
