I got a copy of this book back in October, I had seen some of the authors receipes in the magazine "Home Farmer" and was looking for a range of receipes together in one book. This covers pretty much all you will ever need. You can even have a go at making family favourites, I am really looking forward to having a go at some of the breads. Absolutely loved the sticky chicken (same thing also works on pork!)and made a few of the dips and salads over Christmas. They are so easy to follow and hit the spot on the old palate. I have to admit that I came back and bought two more copies as Christmas presents for my sisters. A bit dangerous I hear you say but the raised eyebrows didn't last long and they went down a treat.I know they are using them because I have tasted the results.

I bought this book looking for some inspiration and some good home cooked food for cold wintry January, I love all of the recipes and am thrilled that my dishes turn out as they are meant to - which is a first for me ! I was eating the same old bumpf and bored with my lacklustre diet and wanted to make delicious, nutritious and heartwarming food.... this book has helped me put my heart back into my cooking and I now feel like lady gourmet extraordinaire !! AND have had two very successful dinner parties (folk LOVED the food) thanks to this book.Buy this book either for yourself or as the perfect gift,it's a delightful book !

As a busy mum of two little ones I was looking for a cookery book that specialised in old fashioned, traditional home cooking. This is it. Highly recommended. Everything you can think of is in there. Better than the TV chef books for getting a decent meal on the table fast and economically.
