I could'nt have asked for a better book. Since I cook for just my husband and me, and sometimes a couple of friends for supper, I do not want to spend too much time in the kitchen preparing a meat dish then a vegetable dish plus a salad. This book has really helped me save time and effort. The recipes are short, easy, quick to cook and absolutely delicious.

I am not the best of cooks and this book is ace. It is simple to follow and full of fantastic tasty recipes. The best bit is it all goes in one pot just as it states. I now have several of the Good Food recipe books and wish I had discovered them years ago.

Well written, simple to follow, easy to source ingredients, tried and tested recipes, another excellent addition to the series. The best thing for me is the recipes are cheap and easy to make, the kids love them, and the kids love helping to choose the meals and learning to cook them. Highly recommended!

I have been carrying this little book around with me in my handbag for months and I have made almost all of the recipes by now, some of them several times. Really easy to follow, tasty recipes with no rare or hard to find ingredients. The photograps are very good as well and give you an idea of what it is supposed to look like.
There were only one or two recipes I wouldn't bother making again, but the overall success rating has been pretty high and I think whenever something didn't turn out quite that well it was due to something I did wrong rather than the book's fault. (For example when I made the salmon recipe on the front cover the first time it was perfect, but the second time the vegetables were all bland and runny because I put the fish in straight from the freezer and all the water from the ice boiled the veg instead of roasting them!)
I was impressed by how many dishes can be made using only 1 pot! Some things can be sped up if you're in a hurry by using a second pot/pan simultaneously, because occasionally you have to boil one ingredient, put it aside on a plate, then fry the other one, and combine the two later, which can prolong the cooking time, but does save on washing up!
Would definitely recommend this book if you're looking for clear, simple instructions and delicious results!
Also worth noting is that many of these recipes are available on the BBC Good Food website where you can read other peoples' suggestions, ratings, what they would do differently and what they served it with, etc which can be helpful too.

Great handy little book for quick easy delicious meals. You can even pop it in your shopping bag if you are in a rush to get to the shops. When I need inspiration for something different and not too demanding in time and ingredients this is the first of my recipe books I refer to. The nice thing is they turn out looking like the photograph. At this price what's not too like!

A marvellous little book, very compact and full of lots of lovely ideas for recipes. It does what it says on the cover - i.e. you use only one pot to cook.

Of all the cook books I own, been given or acquired...this one has been used several times in the short time I have owned it. Simple recipes (obviously) with ingredients you're quite likely to have already. Good for busy people and those like me who just cannot be bothered to 'think' when you're trawling the aisles in the supermarket. Cheap too.
