About the Author

Before joining Good Food magazine seven years ago, Barney Desmazery trained as a chef, gaining a vast knowledge of ingredients, techniques and cuisines while working in restaurants in France, London and Sydney. Every month he creates a range of recipes for Good Food, from quick, clever midweek suppers to restaurant-style dishes, as well as working with many of Britain's top chefs including Gordon Ramsay and James Martin.

As my New Year's Resolution was to do more home cooking, this little series of books has been invaluable! This one does exactly what it says on the tin, and is full of fab recipes you can make from ingredients you might already have. Other ingredients are easily sourced from the supermarket, and the recipes are delicious, quick and easy to follow. I would highly recommend this series of books if you are a first time chef, I got 5 of them for Christmas and I have already tried about 12 of the recipes, from this book Instant Meatballs with Penne went down really well with my daughter as you make the meatballs by squeezing the sausage meat out of sausages, great fun!

quick and easy recipes,using things most people have at home.I love the size of these little books.easy to store.Well worth getting the whole set.
