Once I started it, I couldn't stop. It was a great read. This isn't a guide to Spain or a house-moving bible, but it is an informative, yet fun, resource for anyone considering a move to Spain. In addition, a lot of the generic advice could be used for other countries, so friends/family looking at France, etc could also find it interesting. Even if you're half way through a move, it gives brilliant advice of continuing pit-falls and "settling in" nuances. I feel the book could have done with a couple of maps in order to help familiarise myself with the numerous locations quoted. Well done Tom - I'm looking forward to reading the next book in July 2004.

It was an absolute pleasure to read. Tom has writen an honest, simple but very effective introduction for all those people like ourselves who are in the process or indeed thinking of buying property in Spain. Words that come to mind when reading the book are 'warm', 'enchanting' and thoroughly 'enjoyable'. I couldn't put it down, it has given me a full insight into what to look out for and covers the legalities involved in a way that even I could understand. I believe Tom is on his second book which I am very excited about and would not hesitate in purchasing, equally this one is a 'must buy' - thanks Tom for all your efforts, it's been a great help.
