I don't squat particularly heavy but after just one month's use the foam padding has already split badly on the inside allowing the bar to slip partially through. After a couple more sessions it will be useless.

I've been doing squats without a protective barbell pad for so long and it did cause some unwanted shoulder and neck pain. I've been using this for 2 weeks now and i wish i'd bought one years ago. You won't regret getting one
