Goldeneye, what a fantastic title, what a fasinating story to watch. I am a little biased, I admire Charles Dance, but that didn't stop me understanding the complex character of Ian Fleming. He was the real James Bond. There couldn't be many men of his generation who lived their lives as he did. The war years made men do things they wouldn't necessarily have done without those trying times. Ian Fleming would have done them as a matter of course. Charles Dance conveys the man's character as if he was Ian. A man shaped by his privileged education and life. A great film to watch as I found out.
