A Premiership read! 15 Jun 2009
Format:Paperback
After 'Kick Off' and 'Shoot to Win' Dan Freedman's latest addition to
the Jamie Johnson series is his finest yet. With a gripping storyline and in depth character development, 'Golden Goal' is a must read for anyone and everyone. The combination of simple but highly effective language and dialogue appeals to all age groups.
This book is not only about football, it also deals with a range of issues including friendships, heartbreak and betrayal. It also deals with Jamie's journey in life both on and off the pitch whilst projecting a message of hope and fulfilling dreams.
If you haven't read this book, then what are you waiting! Go out and buy a copy now or you could be caught OFFSIDE!
It's a pure joy to read! I can't wait for the next book and Dan Freedman really does want us 'to come back for more.'

This book has as much adrenaline rush as a 90 minute match itself! There is quick action and pace both on the pitch and off. If you have not already read 'Kick Off' and Shoot to Win' then where have you been?

'Golden Goal' is the third book in the series and it lives up to it's name.

Just when you think Jamie Johnson has the football world at his feet his dreams all come crashing down on him. Will he be able to become the big premiership footballer or will he end up as a has-been at the tender age of 16?

And if like me, you still crave more action after reading the book, then you can see the real man himself! Dan Freedman does writing workshops, interviews and presentations in schools across the country. You will get to see him during the last 2 World Cups interviewing the likes of Beckham, Rooney Gerrard and Lampard.

Dan Freedman and 'Golden Goal' really are in a LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN!!!!!!!

Simply Amazing!!! 14 Jun 2009
By C. Ip
Format:Paperback
Certainly money well spent. I bought this book for my son who is currently in year 6 (primary school) in an attempt to get him reading. I can honestly say that I've not seen him so engrossed in a book before. This is a must read for any child out there but certainly gold dust for the boys. Hope there is a next book!
