Review

'I fell in love with Hymie Goldman within the first few pages. His story is funny, exciting and touching all at the same time. I found myself laughing and yet felt engrossed, and I have to admit that I allowed myself a breath of relief when I realised that as a detective Hymie Goldman has a lot to learn from Hercule Poirot.' -- David Suchet OBE 'If The Golden Pig is the first of the comic adventures of Hymie Goldman - Electrician turned Defective Detective I look forward to many more. A laugh a minute, farcical story and a great read.' E --June Whitfield CBE

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Fun, I didn't stop laughing! 31 Aug 2009
Format:Hardcover
I was surprised how much fun this book was. I didn't expect it would suit me as it seems to be aimed at a younger audience. However there is something for everyone here, even if you don't normaly like detective stories.

Lots of laughs, action, and even a bit of crazy sex. An all round great book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Silly
It does read like a competition between two brothers, to outdo each other in silliness, which is what it is.the names are daft and the stories are contrived.

1.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't finish it.
Tedious in the extreme. It may be a whodunnit but its more of a 'who cares'. I didn't finish it which is rare for me I usually stick it to the end.
