very deep & detached 29 Mar 2010

this is definitely not new age fluff
it could be hundreds of years old
the bowls produce a very detached state of mind
centered - the deepest bowl seems to arise from inside

easy to slip into samadhi of the void with this

Karma Moffett's Golden Bowls of Compassion is completely different from everything else out there in the same genre: the singing bowls, quartz bowls, etc. I have been doing some research into sound healing and found a number of great CDs, but this one is unique in that you feel completely bathed in the sound. It's as if the vibrations are penetrating your cells.

As someone who has experienced an in vivo sound massage, I can tell you this CD feels better to me than that live experience. It's truly incredible. Excellent for insomnia, too, though you might not think so when you first start listening.

I have recommended this to a number of people I work with and it has had unanimous rave reviews. The price is a bargain beyond compare.

For listening to while meditating, or just to have playing in the background while working or reading or whatever, this cd is wonderfully calming, simply amazing.

A Truly Gifted and Liberated Soul 7 Jun 2012

I lived a block away from Karma in San Francisco and would stop by from time to time to play one of his guitars through his sound system. He had a enchanted little shop on 18th Street where people from all walks of life would come by for an evening of spiritual release and transformative chakra cleansing and re-alignment. Strangers entered his little shop of artistic treasures with his beautiful paintings that were done by him and antique Tibetan prayer flags, and books, long horns and such and sit and experience Karma's gift for traveling to and through alternate realities with his Golden bowls as the vehicle. His gift with the bowls allowed him to transport if you will, those who listened. His little concerts which asked for a modest contribution of whatever could be afforded changed people in a very special way as I would stop in front of his shop many a time while he was out and talk to people who had returned to thank him and share how the experience had "done something special" to them.

Karma played at my wedding down in Pacifica in 1997 to a crowd who knew not what they were in for. My father being the "old school" dad that he was, thought I'd flipped out having some guy show up with bowls and hand chimes. I looked at my Dad who was a life long jazz musician (baritone sax) and said "talk to me after the ceremony". His response was " yeah right Rob, we'll talk alright. Does Laura also want these bowls chimin' away during the ceremony on her most precious of days? (I almost booted his duff out of the place). " Dad, sit down will you and behave?

After the ceremony, I caught my father talking to Karma and he was shaking his hand and he had at least one of his tapes in his hand. I walked up to my Dad later during the reception and said while looking at the new tapes he'd just bought and said "not bad for chimin away, huh Dad?

True story my friends. A great experience during a great time!! If you get the chance to see Karma or purchase his Golden Bowls, DO IT!!!

Thanks Brother Karma!! Rob from Hancock street. Blessings to you!!

This CD is beautiful. I've used it several times in my yoga classes for Savasana. Every time I play it , my students tell me how much they like it, especially the student hearing it for the first time.
I highly recomend this CD . You will feel like you're in a little trance.
