Another wonderful release from "Guild Light Music" of Europe. This group has produced a marvelous series of orchestral performances of some of the best music ever composed in the first half of the twentieth century. The artists here are all at the top of their game, including the distinguished Eric Coates and Louis Levy. You will find familiar orchestras here such as Sidney Torch and Morton Gould. The technical sound quality is flawless thanks to Alan Bunting's masterful remastering! All the selections are delightful but some that I especially enjoyed were "As Time Goes By" from " Casablanca", " The Wedding of the Painted Doll" ( Arthur Freed from "Broadway Melody"), and "Show Me" from "My Fair Lady". The liner notes, as always with this series, are informative and historically accurate. This is music composed and performed by talented and inspired real artists. Highly and fondly recommended!
