This is my third pair, and now I would never choose any other gardening glove. They are super-tough, no thorn ever penetrates, and they fit...em...like a glove, so quite fine jobs can be done while wearing them. They are also very comfortable.

That's it really. These gloves are comfortable to wear and soft and are surprisingly light when worn so that it easy to work with them. I say this as someone who prefers not to wear gloves when gardening usually as I find all but the thinnest gloves too clumsy. These gloves are extremely good for pulling out tough weeds particularly brambles and nettles and they were particularly useful when digging a new bed, spreading compost and picking up lots of leaves. The long cuffs give good protection and they are pretty waterproof too. For Autumn and Winter wear I don't think they can be bettered for protection and warmth in the garden. Well worth the price.

I was more impressed by the dry touch ones really, as the tough touch make isn't any tougher. There are tougher gardening gloves out there for less money, and blackthorn, pyracantha, even rose thorns will occasionally get through. I think goat skin gloves are often better and, of course, cheaper. However they do fit well and are very nice to wear. I particularly like the sweat mopping properties of the gauntlet bit.

Bought these gloves to deal with brambles mainly, after being scratched to pieces wearing other gloves I have had in the past. These are wonderfully soft to wear yet strong enough to withstand the barbs on brambles and even blackthorn, the gauntlet protects your wrist but still has plenty of flexibility. Brilliant for the serious gardener or hedge layer.

These are definitely the best gardening gloves. I received mine as a gift and they were so good, I bought a pair for my friend's birthday gift. They're not cheap, but the have lasted longer than any other gardening gloves I've ever had. After a very mucky day in the garden I rinsed them under warm water and then left them to dry; they are still as supple as ever. When the pair I have wear out, they will definitely be on my Christmas list for another pair.

How do they manage to make them so you can grab a handful of nettles and brambles and pull them has hard as you can without feeling a thing?

Great for not getting prickled pulling brambles and soft and flexible too. After continual wearing becomes almost like a second skin.

I was given a pair, and they are brilliant for protecting ones hands and wrists. my original pair had to be replaced as it had holes in it from pulling up brambles.
