Don't be fooled by those chunky looking metal plugs - that's just a thin metal cover that screws loosely over the "real" molded-on plastic plugs made from the same material as the covering of the wire. The cable itself is relatively thin - I suspect there's no more copper in there than in the phono leads that come free with some HiFi kit. At this price, neither is unreasonable (and the sound quality loss, I'm sure, is nothing compared to MP3ing your CDs - I suspect most people will buy this to connect an MP3 to an HiFi amp) - just don't be fooled that you're getting the same construction as more expensive cables.

I bought this lead to connect my ipod to my stereo to play the ipod through the main speakers. It works well and gives good sound quality.

This cable is of high quality. Mine was supplied with blue cables, different from the photo. The end plugs have a thin metal covering, so are not actually metal plugs, which would be more robust.

In theory there's little to get wrong in some cabling, it shouldn't have any kinks or breaks, the plugs should be securely soldered or crimped and they should be what it says on... Read more

The steel casing on this is a very thin piece added onto a normal standard cable. wouldnt recommend it! try something better!
