1.0 out of 5 stars University of the Bleedin' Obvious tips only 28 Oct 2008
Format:Paperback
I agree with previous review - this book is useless! It contains far too much waffling on visas (when, let's face it, you are likely to know which one you need to apply for), then skims over practicalities with no useful advice. For example, important decisions like "what to take" has a paragraph which can be summarised as "What you take is quite important. Have a good think about what you want to take". Right. Thanks. More useful (and free!) are the various web forums by people who have actually moved.
If I was relying on this book to help me with my emigration, I'd be stuffed!

This book is good, but there's better available, such as Explorer, the complete residents' guide, Sydney

4.0 out of 5 stars Good starter book - UK oriented 1 Jun 2010
By Marisol A. Dunham - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book has good information regarding business visa types (the other visa sections aren't so fleshed out), and some thoughts for things to consider when moving, but it didn't offer any unique tips or hints. This information was useful, but a few hours of internet research would net you much of the same info.

Points for being easy to read, but it is geared more towards people in the UK - there isn't much specifically to help anyone outside of there.
