I couldn't put this book down. Like Catherine Jones' two earlier books it has an army background, although the heroine of this one, Kate, is a pilot. At the start of the novel Kate seems to have everything, a successful career and a husband she adores (and admittedly, a tricky mother). But tragedy strikes and Kate suddenly finds herself having to fend for herself and her baby son. The flying detail in this novel is enthralling and very convincing but at the same time the story of Kate's fight to rebuild her life is utterly engrossing. The denouement is so exciting that I stayed up till 2am to finish it. I loved it...
