The Biofrost guardian sery starting with the Godslayer is another of Mickey Zucher Richert's fantasy book sets in the nordic mythology. It is as usual a deligthful read, with a good study of the motivations of each characters. The rest of the sery is even more enjoyable, the plot thickening nicely, despite loose relation between plot line in the first books, everything come crashing together at the end.

Very Entertaining! 28 July 2000
By Rodney Powell - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Mass Market Paperback
This was a very entertaining norse-myth fantasy.I really liked the characters: Al Larson, vietnam soldier transported to norse-myth oriented world in a body of elf and his battles with evil dark elf sorcerer.I also enjoy Taz the noble thief as well. This book was easier read than most of Reichert's novels. Bifrost Guardians is less convoluted not as depressing as her other norse myth series:Renshai and has more light-hearted humor as well.

a short, simple, bittersweet story 25 Feb. 2008
By Scott McClenaghan - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Mass Market Paperback
This is a fast paced and magical deluge of fantasy that left me wistfully uplifted.

Reichert endeavors to serve an amalgam of simple but uniquely creative fantasy in a lightweight canopy of addictive storytelling. Her interpretation of Scandinavia as it relates to Norse mythology and American history are better served by her eery comfort in writing from the male perspective.

It's a simple story. Sticklers for detail may prefer more bloated literature. I enjoyed it immensely.

Mickey Zucker Reichert is an amazing author keeps you captivated from beginning to end in all of the books I have read, she puts in just the right amount of action in them to keep you entertained as well as some mystery which is hard to do with a book put in the era that she writes.

I first read the third of these 5 books in the 80s stuck on a deployment. I had pretty much forgotten about the series over the years. It was a pleasant find and I have already order the sequel.
Great book 2 Jan. 2014

I'm a big fan of Norse mythology, so this book was great. It wasn't heavily into it, so if you're not familiar with that subject, the book is still a great read.
