Finally a book with clarity on the subject 19 Sep 2013
By Philemon Daniel - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I have read about a dozen books on "finding" the will of God over a dozen years. I have struggled practicing the principles taught to me with all sincerity. And I could not find a book that explains God's will with clarity and without contradictions. One book I found close enough was Friesen's. But then I felt there were few things missing. This book I should say is the best I could find. Although it is written by two different authors as some reviews have noted, it is easy to read and the principles come out with clarity. I would strongly recommend this book.

Balanced view 1 Jun 2013
By Jeffrey A. Thompson - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This is a nice, balanced, view of determining God's will for one's life using the Puritan tradition. The book starts with Psalm 23 and shows how God wants to guide us and protect us. The authors then present the problems with the current models in different evangelical camps and present the traditional and hopefully biblical model. The book seems a little dry and a little repetitive because they summarize their views so much before they proceed with the next step. However, the book is very readable and practical. They briefly refer to Friesen's book, "Decision Making and the Will of God." They show how his model could be improved. I'm not sure why I'm not giving it 5 stars. I could really tell that it is written by two authors: it is not seamless. The book did not give any brilliant insights, but rather the authors sought to calm the readers that God wants to provide direction through His Word and they shouldn't worry about missing His will, but rather seek it through biblical wisdom.

Great book on finding God's Will 29 Dec 2012
By Dennis Sy - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
As the author of the book SYNC: How to Know God's Will for your Life, this book by JI Packer has been very beneficial for me in searching God's will for my life. Some books try to complicate God's will but this book by JI Packer bring us back to Jesus and the gospel and tells us that it is not about us. Highly recommend this book to everyone.

When ever I see the words, God's Will, it gets my attention. This book is written with authority and accuracy from scripture. Mankind will never learn everything as God is training us for the next level.
