Product Description

Summoned to Rome by an old friend, a Jesuit scholar finds himself using a code discovered in the Bible to unearth an ancient, hidden chapel in the catacombs under the city. When a rogue force of Vatican security officials are alerted to his discovery, the priest flees to the Holy Land with a clue ... a clue that will lead him and a team of Israeli Christians to a much larger secret in the middle of the barren Negev Desert.

Meticulously researched and drawing on scientific fact, John Lyman's intriguing story takes readers into the world of scholars, archaeologists, code-breakers, and intelligence specialists who have discovered a prophetic code hidden within the Old Testament that authenticates the Bible as a book of supernatural origin and points to a divine plan. This gripping novel is truly a thought-provoking and action-packed thriller with implications for our future.

JUST RELEASED: "GOD'S LIONS - HOUSE OF ACERBI", the much anticipated sequel to John Lyman's first novel, "God's Lions - The Secret Chapel". After returning to Rome from a forced sabbatical, a newly appointed Jesuit cardinal discovers a dark force that has ruled a single family for over seven hundred years has been unleashed against the world. Thrust into an end-game scenario, he teams with a dedicated group of Israeli and Spanish scientists as they race across the globe in an effort to stop the greatest threat mankind has ever faced, only to discover that they may already be too late. Something Different 23 Feb 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
The book is based around the idea that there are hidden codes within the bible and that God uses these codes to direct a group of people that He has chosen. This chosen group is tasked to find a hidden chapel underneath the Vadican along with an ancient artifact in the desert and then bring said artifact back to the chapel.
The book is very well written. The characters are interesting and the story moves along quickly. The book is hard to put down and I'm looking forward to reading the second book in the series. Anyone who is a fan of the National Treasure movies or of The Davinci Code books will most likely enjoy this book. I highly recommend it.
Congratulations to Mr. Lyman You've made a fan out of me.

A great book, a page turner for sure, although at times it moves a little too fast when I would have liked specific scenarios too have been explored in more detail,there is so much crammed in it could have done with another couple of hundred pages to develop the plot further. I bought this book along with the sequel House of Acerbi which I found to be a much more satisfying read in terms of buying into the plot. Read together these were highly entertaining books and at such a knock down price, these books equate to incredible value. I will buy the paperbacks for sure.

Format:Kindle Edition
An excellent book that kept me interested from start to finish. The characters were good with some surprising developments as the book progressed, and lots of twists and turns. One of those books that I found hard to put down.

In the wake of the countrys newfound wealth, a religion of consumerism had spurred a mindless pursuit for greater corporate profits. This greed-fueled race eventually led to companies sending millions of manufacturing jobs overseas, resulting in the decline of the cherished middle class who made their living making things. For the first time, Americas children were looking at a lower standard of living than their parents. Corporate profit and material possessions were the new idolatry, shoving Gods message of love thy neighbor into a dusty corner. "e;
